Bristol Vocal School was created to offer a level of vocal instruction that is not found with individual voice lessons. At Bristol Vocal School, we offer high quality vocal instruction in a very fun, group environment! Structured around the proven teaching methods of Grammy nominated ETSU vocal instructor Jason Leek, each student will develop and improve their all round skills as a performer and vocalist. We offer sessions for several age groups and we welcome all skill levels, including beginners with no singing experience. Each session will last 6 weeks, meeting once a week for 2 hrs each time. After the 6 weeks, the students will perform a “variety show”, on stage, for family and friends. The main focus throughout the 6 weeks, will be on structuring and rehearsing the show, but we will also focus on developing a strong, all round vocal foundation that is essential for becoming a better vocalist and performer. We will work on things such as: stage fright – stage presence – mic technique – confidence – individual vocal technique – freeing the voice – stylistic singing – harmony singing – blending with others – ear training and much much more! (see list) We encourage each student to participate in each aspect of the vocal school, however, we will NEVER force a student to do something they do not feel comfortable doing (or put them on the spot)

Our FIRST priority at Bristol Vocal School, is to do everything we possibly can to make sure each student is comfortable, relaxed and having a fun time while becoming a better performer and vocalist. During the rehearsals, each group will work together, supporting each other with positive feedback, while striving towards one common goal of producing the best variety show possible! Obviously, each group will be made up of students with various skill sets and unique personalities, which makes each 6 weeks and show a very unique experience! We will design the show into solos, duets, or various groups while having songs from several genres and styles including a cappella! Students that play instruments are welcome to provide their own accompaniment, otherwise all music will be provided. At Bristol Vocal School, we have a very strong passion for helping students reach their music goals and our mission statement is simple: To offer the highest quality instruction for vocal performance, while providing a positive, supportive and fun learning environment!
